Ben Rising, which many of you may know through Drury Outdoors DVDS and the recent winner of the '08
Outdoor channel's Dream Season TV show, and partner Jarod Hawkins are the operators
of Wolf Creek Outfitters, both have many years experience in the timber and many trophy
bucks to show for it and would like to help you harvest your trophy.
All of our properties are private land that we either own or have leased. All of which are
under our own management plans for deer and timber production. We strongly manage for
older age class bucks and expect our hunters to respect this and help us harvest does
when we ask.
Wolf Creek is mainly a bow hunting operation with a few openings every
year for some gun hunting on certain properties. Most of our acreage is designated bow
only. We do require that your buck be atleast 130" p&y to harvest unless it is an older
mature buck that needs harvested. We will go over this when you arrive, it is not
uncommon for our 2 1/2 yr old bucks to score 130''-140'' so we strongly encourage you
to look for the signs of maturity before releasing that arrow. We prefer 3 1/2 and older.
We expect our hunters to be fully prepared for any weather and hunting conditions. Scent
control is top priority. If your clothing and equipment are not scent free you will not hunt
until they are. Our hunts are for serious deer hunters and require stand time not couch
time.If your looking for a hunt to just spend time hangn out at the lodge and relax this hunt
is not for you. This is a 100% wild hunt. You will hunt out of treestands with ladder sticks,
groundblinds, or ladderstands set-up in strategic places depending on deer movement and
time of year.
